Warning belly button photos. I have had this rash in my belly button for over a week now. It’s a bit sore and smelly but not awful. I’m just not sure if it’s infected or not.

Can’t see the photo?

washbit and dry it well , use some sudocrem in there!

No pics so cannot offer advice.

Sleepalldaylong · 26/04/2025 20:01

Looks like psoriasis OP. Do you have scabs anywhere else?

AlphabetBird · 26/04/2025 20:02

It’s infected with something if its sore and smelly. Could be fungal?

I’d go and see someone though - looks painful.

thaegumathteth · 26/04/2025 20:02

Try hibiscrub

Ineedanewsofa · 26/04/2025 20:03

It doesn’t look great. Rinse with salt water, dry it thoroughly and keep it dry, if suedocrem doesn’t work try canesten

WonderingWanda · 26/04/2025 20:03

Have you shown it to a pharmacist? They might be able to suggest something for it.

ThatAmberQuoter · 26/04/2025 20:04

Can see pics now. Definitely looks like it's infected. Maybe call at the pharmacy and ask there ? Otherwise go to out of hours docs.

FannyBawz · 26/04/2025 20:05

That is psoriasis

Mindymomo · 26/04/2025 20:07

I would try and find a pharmacist open tomorrow Tesco pharmacies are open, to get it looked at, try boiled water with salt and then Sudocream until you get it looked at, anything smelly needs attention. GP may need to do a scrape to send it off to see what type of infection it is.

TeaIsNice · 26/04/2025 20:10

do you need to ask?! see a GP

Conqueeftador · 26/04/2025 20:21

That’s infected. Go see a pharmacist or your practice nurse.

Yourinmyspot · 26/04/2025 23:05

Thanks, I have got a skin condition they aren’t sure exactly what yet. I’m on a course of steroids at the moment. I’ll try some sudocreme and I’ve got some hibiscrub so will use a bit of that and see how it is tomorrow.
