Verruca and sensory issues

Dose anyone know any sensory friendly ways to get rid, ideally with no picking or filling?

8yo autistic DS has a verruca and trying to treat it has been awful. With berzuka, he'll tolerates me putting on the gel on but go's into instant meltdown when I need to peel off gel layer to reapply, and won't let me near it with the emery board. Have also tried the "one treatment" freeze stuff, didn't like the application but it was over quickly so got through it OK. It was meant to then come away by itself, but after a few tries it still hadn't and again DS won't let me near it.

Is it causing him bother? Could you just leave it and see if it self-limits?

At this point I'm very tempted, but it's already gone from just one on his toe, which I already left for a couple of months (wasn't initially sure it was a verruca, as struggled to get a good look at it) to a second on the sole of his foot, so a bit worried that if I don't get on top of it there will be more of them to treat in the future.

I’ve recently found the Scholl Vericca and Wart Treatment Pen to be very effective. No need to peel between treatments and after a few weeks the verucca should come off with one peel. Maybe worth a try.

Just in case anyone has the same question and finds this thread, I found the answer!

Keep putting the treatment on until it's ready for the picking stage, then go to the beach. The combination of padding in the sea then running around on sand barefoot does the same as soaking the foot then rubbing with emery board as in the instructions. He played for a couple of hours and the verrucas just fell off by themselves. DS didn't even notice it was happening until we got home and he realised they were gone.
