High prolactin breastfeeding

I'm 5.5 months postpartum.
Am exclusively breastfeeding.
Been having periods every 2 weeks since about 3 months pp so GP ordered blood tests.
Prolactin came back 1481 mIU/L then a repeat one came back 1058 mIU/L.
GP has asked for advice from endocrinology. The
person who analysed the blood asked how postpartum I am and if I'm on any meds but didn't ask if I'm breastfeeding.
Shouldn't my prolactin be high so I can breastfeed? Are those levels abnormally high even if breastfeeding?
I'm also on sertraline and have an underactive thyroid which is treated.

Anyone been in a similar situation?

Thanks

yes high prolactin is related to you breastfeeding. I would think your levels are normal for a breastfeeding woman, a Swedish website site I was reading says says 1000-8000mIU/L when breastfeeding.
