Gabapentin

I’m suffering nerve pain in one buttock and leg, due to a tumour in my pelvis. GP has prescribed gabapentin and oxycodene for pain.

Those who have tried gabapentin for nerve pain, did it help at all? Any major side effects? ( I know we all respond differently) My prescription is 100mg 3 times a day. I’m already on chemo and loathed to take more drugs. However, this pain is dragging me down.

I had Gabapentin for trapped nerve pain. It was the only thing that worked but it takes a few days to work and usually you build up dosage gradually. I started on 3 x100 and built up to 3x300 over 2 weeks
