Feeling woozy/virus?

Hi All,

Just wondering if this is something going or anyone else has had similar.

I wasn't feeling great the other night so went to bed early, got up the next morning, went to work and didn't think anything of it.

At lunch time I sat down to eat and got a wave of wooziness which almost felt like I was about to pass out. I got up and went to the loo, took some deep breathes and thought that would be it. Went back in and it happened again. At that point I called my DH to collect me.

He came and got me and I was so cold. Then had 3 bouts of diaherra. At this point I was o pretty panicked (anxious person anyway) so I called my GP. My normal GP couldn't see me but booked me in with a new GP to the practice.

GP kind of freaked me out at first but doing neuro tests and looking in my eyes but said all looked fine and I passed all tests. I mentioned to her I had acupuncture the night before and that I was also 4 days late on my period but had tested negative. She also checked my stomach and noted I was quite tender on the lower right but she said she didn't think it was appendicitis.

She thought maybe it could be viral or hormonal and might be worth getting my bloods done. Because there's such a backlog there (and probably because I asked a million questions) she referred me to a private unit next week where I can get bloods/any tests or scans they deem necessary all within a day.

I've spent the last couple of days taking it easy since then, mainly sleeping with not much appetite. I was running a little got but that seems to have passed.

I do feel slightly light headed this morning though which is again freaking me out.

Any help or words very much appreciated x

There are a lot of lurgys going about OP. Fuel your body, keep hydrated and it'll pass in a few probably. Nothing you've said would have had me going to the GP. If it persisted into weeks then maybe.

Anxiety sucks. No wonder you're panicking about it. Not eating won't be helping you.

Impressed you managed to get a same day GP appointment!
Sounds very similar to my last couple of bouts of covid. Hope you're feeling better soon Flowers

I've got the same at the moment, left work Tuesday and have been in bed ever since, had sickness everyday if I think I feel better and try to clean or move I get dizzy and lightheaded and have to lie down never felt so tired my body's sore

@lorali06 must be doing the rounds. I covid tested and was negative. Stomach big part of it seems to have cleared and sudafed seems to be helping the dizzy feeling a bit - hoping another good sleep will shift it.
