Constant dizziness

Anyone had this as a main symptom of a virus? Just constant intense dizziness that goes on for days and not much else?

Could it be vertigo? With mine the room span if I laid on the floor or turned my head in certain positions. Doc said it was as a result of a virus I’d had a few weeks back
