Anyone else ever had an arterial blood test? Question!

Hi there,
Don't know if anyone recognises the name or has been on any of my other threads so....quick synopsis....
Had breathing difficulties earler in the week, went to a&e, chest seemed clear, told me I was having an anxiety attack (I'm sceptical and they weren't certain as it didn't seem to fit quite right with the symtopms), they checked my oxygen levels by taking this arterial blood test.
So, has anyone else had one? Tell me, should it still hurt as much as it does? I know it hurts when it's taken but the pain I still have from it is daft, I can hardly move my wrist! Help?

do you have any swelling ? Does the area feel hard ? Blood tests like this hurt like hell at the time and can sometimes bleed a little into the tissues after causing pain, so it could be normal.

Is it the pain that stops you moving your wrist or can you just not move it ??

Yes it bloody hurts and can do for days.

Occasionally the nerve can get bruised and it takes a little while for the swelling to go down; until it does it can be sore and very achey.

Take painkillers and if it's swollen wear a tubigrip bandage from the knuckles to the elbow.

Minimal swelling, pain stops me moving the wrist, although I can move it. Area doesn't seem hard. Tubigrip seems like a good idea, I keep having my breath taken away when I move my wrist quickly!
