Right Side Pressure and Pain

Hi all,

For the past couple of months I’ve been getting a niggling pain under my right ribs, sometimes it feels like a pressure/bloated feeling under there. I also get a bruised like feeling further down my side. Has anyone had this?

I have had blood tests which were normal, and awaiting an ultrasound but just wondering in the meantime if anyone had any ideas.

I have never ever seen anybody say this but I have the exact same thing! It's been playing up again recently too, funny I come across this. I've also had all sorts of testing done and nothing was found. But, I do have mile NAFLD (poor diet) so I wonder if that's what it is for me. Do you notice it travels down sort of where your appendix would be in a sort of line up to your ribs? I also have chronic back muscle pain alongside a hypertonic pelvic floor so I'm also wondering if it's muscular. I'm sorry I haven't been much help, but I completely sympathise!

Blimey, I have this too, my Dr said it’s a sprain. I’ve had it for months now.

I get this aswell , I’m struggling with acid reflux atm and am wondering if it’s connected .

@Birdwordie no it doesn’t go as low as where the appendix is, I also thought with appendix pain you get it near your belly button and I’ve had nothing in that area. I guess it’s mostly at the top of my ribs and the bruised feeling comes further down the side.
I do also have bad back pain! If I sleep with a pillow between my legs I get no pain otherwise I wake up in pain!

@allthegoodusernameshavegone interesting! Did they say where the sprain was? When I google sprain/muscle problem is a possibility but I can’t imagine it feels like this?!
@hattie43 i do also get acid reflux sometimes but I’ve had acid reflux for years but only had this pain for a couple of months. So strange!
