Has anyone used them and seen any positive benefits?

nicotinamide mononucleotide, lots of suppliers of it out there.

I have used them this last month. From Vivanmn, after reading an article written by someone taking this brand.
No noticeable difference and, at £30 for the month, far too expensive to bother with again. I’m now trying ubiquinol (the more bioavailable form of coenzyme Q10).

annaspanner18 · 18/04/2025 21:27

Thanks @RealityContinuesToRuinMyLifeit was the viva nmn I was looking at too, but yep, pricey. Please update on how those Q10 are after you’ve given them a go? Thank you x

Using NMN since last two months. Massive improvement in hair loss and my front balding patch is filled up with tiny new hair.

curious79 · 19/04/2025 08:05

I’ve got new dark hair instead of grey but otherwise don’t suddenly feel like leaping up and down

LadyJaneEarlGreyTea · 19/04/2025 08:11

Same as Reality, tried them and saw no difference. Very expensive to keep taking on the off chance they do something.

RealityContinuesToRuinMyLife · 19/04/2025 18:07

I will do op.

Ohthishayfever · 19/04/2025 20:04

I take them - have been for about 5 weeks. My sleep is a little better but I tend to go through cycles anyway. I would say I’m a tiny bit less brain fogged? I’m 52 and have had a lot of peri symptoms for about 6 years now that fluctuate anyway so who knows??

I also have the Vivanmn ones - not sure I’ll buy another pot after this.

LivingBetter · 27/04/2025 15:51

Taking them about 6 weeks and my sleep is settling as it has a negative affect to start with definitely. I can’t say I feel noticeably better yet but willing to give it another month or two to see what improves. I definitely wake up more easily now and don’t feel groggy in the mornings even when i haven’t slept brilliantly. My joints are less creaky too but that could also be fish oils and collagen that I take.

Bumping this thread, has anyone else tried them? I think expecting immediate results within 1 month is slightly too optimistic, it can take a few months for supplements to start taking effect. Are there any long term users?

If you can cope with Reddit it may be worth looking on there as there’s loads of threads. I’m taking it, only a few weeks in but I’ve noticed my sluggish bowels are better and I’m not doing anything else that’s different. I feel I’ve more energy , I can’t explain it properly but I didn’t think oh I’ll have more energy I just thought one day I feel perky and then remembered I was taking them. Who knows though, brain plays a lot of tricks doesn’t it.

RealityContinuesToRuinMyLife · 31/05/2025 13:01

@annaspanner18 I’ve bought a second bottle of the Solgar Ubiquinol 100mg without hesitation. Whether it is them that have perked me up a bit after just 25 days, or the brighter weather, I don’t know, but I feel the expense is worth it far more than the nmn so will carry on for now.

I've had excellent results with NMN after taking for about 5 months now. Like someone else said my hair definitely improved, my nails grow quicker too, like twice as fast! TBH biggest thing for me is just feeling like I have the energy to do the things I want every day. I'm a data geek and have my watch feeding me a bunch stuff and my HRV has improved from low 90s to high 110's in that time. Read into that what you will, but it aligns with me feeling more energetic. 😊

I think perhaps people have unrealistic expectations when taking some things, it's not like necking a double espresso energy, but I feel "good" every day. Which is actually so lovely. I take 500mg a day but have done 1000mg on days where I'm maybe under more stress than usual, or have expended more energy than usual.

For me, it's one of the best supplements I've ever taken, but perhaps those who don't feel a thing are all good on that front. Yes it can be expensive, but it costs me £40 for 2 months supply from Longevity Formulas which isn't too bad. I have heard good things about Ubiquinol too, not tried it yet though.

I tried the Viva NMN and tbh I don’t feel as different as it’s sold to make you feel. I am also concerned as to why this company have not updated their social media since 2024? They have plenty of influencers making edits to sell their product but nothing on their own social media? I emailed to ask…. Still waiting for them to answer….

Thanks for the feedback… I took the plunge and ordered these ones, started them yesterday. Here’s hoping! 🤞

How are you finding the NMN OP and anyone else who's kept taking it (or the ubiquinol)?

RealityContinuesToRuinMyLife · 26/09/2025 19:39

@NeonSigns I’m finding increased energy with the ubiquinol. I used to get home from work and just slump on the sofa, it was an effort to get up and have a shower and get ready for bed.
I’m now able to go shopping after work, meet friends or mow the lawn. Huge improvement for me.

NeonSigns · 26/09/2025 19:43

Ah that's good to hear!

Lottapianos · 26/09/2025 19:44

Been taking VivaNMN for about a month and I'm impressed. More energy, recovering more quickly from a long walk / hike / weights session - no muscle soreness at all the next day apart from a bit of stiffness first thing in the morning

Also able to have a few drinks with no hangover the next day. Alcohol had been hitting me hard in the last few years so I'm really pleased about this. I do mean just a few though - not dancing on tables until 2am! 😁

JJkate · 26/09/2025 19:47

I took this for about two weeks and felt great and then one day took twice as many by accident as I forgot I'd already taken it for the day and it made me feel quite ill and off kilter for several weeks. I have read similar on Reddit and someone I know had similar (they didn't double up but had a bad reaction a few weeks in). I don't want to take it anymore since.

LivingBetter · 11/11/2025 07:44

@annaspanner18 have you had good results with the Longevity Formulas NMN you tried in July? Trying to decide if it’s time to try a different brand.

ZingyRedLion · 07/04/2026 13:59

I also take the Longevity Formulas one and it is great. I love NMN.
