Dental retainers

Hi my dd had Invisalign’s and her treatment is finished she was given a night time retainer
the orthodontist recommended sterident to clean it with a toothbrush
I’ve read that retainers can build up with bacteria , can anyone advise on the best way to steralise please ?

I soak mine in steradent daily.

I soak mine in Steradent every morning. Also bring it in to dentist/prosthodontist when I get my cleaning - they sterilise it in their machine.
