Hideous spots all over neck

Just that really..
I keep getting hideous lumpy and often sore spots all over my neck. Front and both sides. This week I went around in a scarf just to cover them, weather was warm here and I was getting strange looks it I find I get more stares when the spots are on open display. No amount of make seems to cover them. They're so hideous and getting me down.
Some are filled with pus, others don't seem to have any contents. They all take ages to heal. There's one on side of neck that I've had since early February and I don't pick it.

My parter works off shore and I dread having an outbreak of spots when he's home for a week.

I've always been told above jawline is hormonal, below is diet. I tend to get them under my jaw if I've had a heavy weekend socialising or eaten jelly sweets.

Have you started/stopped or changed a medication recently? Otherwise it could be hormonal?

I feel for you. It’s really horrible to have bad acne.

I’m in my 60s now, but in my 30s I was referred to a dermatologist who prescribed what was then known as Roaccutane. I think it’s now Isotretinoin. It could only be prescribed by a dermatologist, and I think I had to have blood tests before I began to take it, but it completely cleared up my acne (face, shoulders, back) quite quickly, and I could probably count on one hand the number of spots I’ve had since then. I really felt it changed my life.

In your position I’d be urging my GP to refer me to a dermatologist to get this sorted out for you. You really shouldn’t have to live like that Flowers

Be careful which shampoos and conditioners you are using. Conditioner in particular causes me to break out really bad, especially using it in the shower.

If you wear metal jewellery containg nickel, this can cause painful spots. I had no idea about it until it happened to me on wearing a pendant on a chain.
