Vitamin D injection - worth it?

Adult DD has low Vitamin D- she was put on a loading dose in Feb but it has only moved from 41 to 44. She feels very tired and fatigued and GP has suggested another loading dose for 6 weeks but I was wondering if Vitamin D injections are available privately and if anyone has had one - did it have a big effect? She’s also a coeliac and has UC, these are both under good control but could be contributing to malabsorption…..
thanks!

Has she also had B12 checked & is she having injections for that?

interested to see any info you get about private Vit D injections though. I’ve been on prescribed Vitamin D for years and it still drops low each winter. She must feel dreadful -poor thing.

Ok, I googled. Obviously it will depend area to area, and I imagine you’d need to show a copy of blood test results but they are available, a private general practice in Guildford charges £139. In a private clinic (London Birmingham etc) £95, Cardiff is saying £65 so prices seem to vary a lot.
A Google re effectiveness does suggest they are effective at raising levels too.
