Cervical cancer

Hiya. I'm 27 and I had abnormal vaginal bleeding which made me go to the doctors. The doctor tried to examine me but I bled very easily from the cervix. They then reffered me for the 2 week urgent refferal for suspected cancer. I was seen yesterday and they took biopsies from all over the cervix as apparently it was abnormal all round. She said its not spread to the vagina but they need to check it's not spread further up. I have a 7 year old son and so scared of leaving him without a mum. I just don't want to die already.

Hey, I’m two and a half years out of treatment for CC, a diagnosis is not a death sentence.

sounds like you don’t have an actual diagnosis yet, this is by far the worst part and you start imagining all sorts.

stay away from the Facebook groups but the Reddit group can be quite helpful.

give me a shout if you have any questions.

They said its highly likeley to come back cancer so that's all I've got in my head

I’m not sure how they can say that if they haven’t had the results of the biopsy yet

They said from how it looks it's highly likely so i don't know it's made me terrified

I know, it’s absolutely terrifying but until you get the results you don’t actually know anything.

its good news that they have said it doesn’t look like it’s spread
