Kidney disease

Is tapioca safe for someone with kidney disease? I can't find any mention of it when I search the UK kidney websites.

Google tells me that tapioca is safe, and that cassava is not. But they are the same plant. Is tapioca processed in a way that removes phosphates and potassium?

Can anyone point me to a reliable source for whether tapioca pearls or tapioca flour are safe for someone with kidney disease?

Depends what stage you’re at.
