Wrong result given to me? Confused.

I had test ( scan) in January, this was significantly abnormal and had to be repeated after 6 weeks, Gp contacted me about this and also the radiologist sent me a letter to urge me come back for repeat, they also messaged me to come back at the exact 6 weeks gone on the exact day when 6 weeks passed.
i got better meanwhile so I went for the repeated test after 6 weeks, hoping this would be better result.
i heard nothing for two weeks, I even spoke to gp about it, he confirmed no result to report yet.
Last week ( after two weeks since I had the test I received a notification on my NHS app to view the result, it said all normal, everything which was abnormal last time is ok now, also it referred to the previous test and confirmed all clear.
Great.
Yesterday I saw a consultant about something else but same department and I mentioned the both of the tests, he said both are bad results and no really improvement between those too.
I said that I received clear report that all is fine, he said that he can see the report too it too but in his eyes it’s not ok.
Im confused?
is this even possible? Who to believe?

Surely the consultant said rather more? What happens next?

No really, he didn’t at all. He just say not much , we soon stopped speaking about it. It’s not my usual consultant, it was in a a&e sort of settings..but he was from relevant specialist department.

I’d try to see your GP and push for an explanation

I tried to contact the radiology but no one would speak to me, only receptionist and she didn’t know anything. Gp offered me 7 weeks appointment..

Do not leave this, pursue ut vigorously. Ask for a second opinion.

I’d write an actual letter to your GP practice with your concerns and asking for an urgent appointment to discuss this.

I did this in a similar situation and it worked really well

If you can't get anywhere with your GP surgery, I would contact PALS at the hospital where you had the 2 scans and ask for them to get a second opinion on the 2 scans and whether the second is normal or not, and what the plan needs to be going forward.

Did your GP refer you for the initial scan or did you get referred to a consultant who then booked the scan?

It was the GP who referred me after begging them for scan and then I asked to be referred to the hospital to consultant , but both scans were requested by GP.

I see, I would absolutely contact PALS then with your concerns and ask for the scans to be reviewed again- do you know the name of the consultant that you saw when in hospital for a different reason? If so, include that name in your enquiry and state they were not satisfied the second scan results showed an improvement.

In the mean time, I would contact your GP surgery again and ask for this to be reviewed as a matter of urgency.
