Vitamin b12 or something else?

Hi all. Has anyone here had their vitamin b12 levels checked and acted upon?

I’ve had a few different symptoms recently and my colleague suggested I get my b12 checked, GP apt at the end of this month.

Wondered if anyone had the same or similar symptoms and what it was?

  • tingling feet (not completely unusual for me as I have slipped discs but more frequently recently)
  • mouth ulcers, never suffered with these but have 3 currently
  • fatigue. Everyone keeps telling me I look shattered 🥴
  • irritable/mood swings
  • more frequent headaches, 3-4 times a week
  • ive also noticed ive been more off balance/clumsy

I did have my gallbladder removed at the start of February so wondered if any of it was perhaps related.

My memory is always pretty terrible but come to think of it I’ve forgotten some quite important things recently.

how soon did you notice an improvement after injection?

DD had all of these symptoms (especially the tingly feet!) and ended up being diagnosed with a severe B12 deficiency due to pernicious anaemia. Had 3 weeks of biweekly injections and she was like new again. Will have to be on injections every 3 months for life but it’s not a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

At first you are given 6 loading injections over 2 weeks so it was quite quick

The tingly feet is driving me mad! I’m on my feet all day for work so it’s really noticeable.

glad the injections are working for her
