Dd had accident with a ball hitting her eye Tuesday night and ended up at minor injuries with two abrassions. She's seeming good although I kept her home from school for now to be extra careful, she is on antibiotic cream. How long should I leave it before she has a swimming lesson with the chlorine? Didnt think to ask the doctor at minor injuries. I know he said it should heal quickly but wasnt sure how long I should leave it?

She was meant to have a first lesson typically this Saturday!

You could phone your local eye dept at hospital (if hosp has one) and ask.
Not the same at all but when I had cataract surgery I was told not to swim for four weeks.

Ok thanks, I could phone the hospital then and see if they could help. Yeah its not what you think to ask at the time is it, we were so worried she'd done more damage at the time!

My Dh had this and was nevr told to not swim , but he does always wear goggles.
Could your DD wear them?

I have just spoken to ordinary gp and has said to leave it for seven days. I'm happy with that really and can put it off a week.
