Hi all

Had my smear about 3 weeks ago and just got a text to say I've been booked for a oncology colposcopy next Thursday, I am freaking out panicking because obviously I've googled stuff, what can I expect from this appointment and procedure, I'm going on holiday the next day... I am going to be sick with worry from now until I get any results

Any advice appreciated

I had one years ago. It's very straightforward, quick and doesn't hurt. There is a chaperone present. I had to go back a second time and I was so relaxed that I was telling jokes to the consultant - he loved it!
