Morning Clare,
Given that low ferritin is caused by low iron levels, perhaps you could initially talk to your pharmacist about the best way to get iron into your DS, via a supplement? There are liquids available as well as gummies etc that are targeted at children.
(obviously your post was very limited so it’s hard to be more specific!)
There are many foods that contain iron & these need to be incorporated into his diet; search online for these & work out how he can have them multiple times a day. Vitamin C needs to be consumed at the same meal as iron to get maximum absorption.
You can work out a simple daily diet plan for him & vary according to his preferences - for example, start with breakfast cereals that have added iron & a drink of orange juice. A ham sandwich for lunch. Bolognaise & pasta for tea - etc etc.
Beat wishes with this, it’s entirely do-able and he will soon feel the benefits.

Thanks for leaving it up - can’t edit the previous post, don’t know why!
