Mole worry

Im a particularly moley person, as is my mum. However i've got a mole on my neck which over the last 3 years has become so raised and sore. I'm getting really concerned about it. seen two GP's who say they aren't concerned but i'm finally having it removed and testing in the next couple of months. however i am starting to spiral worrying if it is serious or not.
Has anyone got any experience in moles and can tell me if it looks of concern? it was flat when i was 18 but i do feel a lot of my moles have changed with both my pregnancies.I know it's not massive but it hurts and im worried as my partner keeps pointing out it's more raised etc

It is in a place where it would be constantly rubbed and irritated by clothing, which could be the cause of the soreness and it may have become raised because of that as well, like skin tags forming. It's round and an even colour which generally means it's just an ordinary mole.
However I am not an expert and having it tested is the best thing you can do for peace of mind.
