Was admitted to hospital for monitoring after I had what I think was a particularly bad panic attack as my troponin was 32 so they wanted to rule out a small heart attack and to be fair I did feel differently to a normal panic attack, not breathless but clammy. I don't know what it was.
My EKg and Echo were fine, as well as chest x ray so they didn't do an angiography or chest CT and discharged me with a borderline diabetes diagnosis and a beta blocker and high blood pressure tablet as well as a cholesterol tablet as my cholesterol was 6.
Previous to this hospital admission I began having episodes of being really really cold, icy cold hands and feet, painful aching legs and some discolouration in fingers and toes that would come and go.
I have since been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and started metformin. My HBA1C was 52 so just in the diabetes category. I mentioned this numbness in my feet and the diabetes nurse said that my levels were not in the range that it would be the cause.
I have been on beta blockers for an long time for anxiety and know this can cause cold extremities but it doesn't explain the numbness In My foot sometimes and it seems to be getting worse.
What should I be checking here? I'm getting really worried and anxious about it. I think it's possibly PAD or a heart issue but have recently had those heart tests which were OK.
