Ive just found a lump in the front of my throat to the right of my windpipe (not attached). Tried googling it but naturally google isnt the best doctor. Anyone know what it could be?

Is the thyroid around there somewhere?

BoysAreLikeDogs · 14/05/2008 19:32

Might be thyroid.

A goitre (can't remember if that is the right name for it )

I had one, it appeared shortly after I had DS1 (he was 9 weeks old), needle biposy revealed it to be benign, had it removed under GA, a skilled surgeon meant that the scar is in the crease at the bottom of my throat, almost invisble.

Book an Urgent appt with the doctor for investigation JAmpot.

ive been to the doctors this morning (first appt with new surgery - very impressed at speed and efficiency so far - receptionists are nice and helpful )

Doctor examined it and said it was either a lump on side of my thyroid or an enlarged lymph node. Im to go back in 4-6 weeks if it hasnt gone down. He thinks its just one of those things that appear from time to time.
