Why do I always feel SO cold? Especially my hands and feet

Hi,

I will book a doctors appointment as I know I’ll get a definitive answer from the GP but I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this and what it could be?

I feel cold most of the time. Even when it’s fairly ‘warmer’ outside and everyone else in the house feels warm - I’m always cold. My hands and feet in particular are always cold too.

I make a hot water bottle most nights due to the above and I use one most days during the day too.

I also get numb feet/pins and needles and my feet are often swollen too (not like really really bad but you can tell - especially when I push down on them with a finger).

FYI I am pre-diabetic so not sure if that is linked?

Anyone else?

Have you looked in to Raynauds?

Get your thyroid checked.

I'm always cold. Always have been.

Sounds like it could be an underactive thyroid.

I’ve previously had my thyroid checked (6 months ago) that’s when I got told I’m prediabetic

I’m the same - I have Raynauds. No-one ever believes me, but I am always chilly at anything under about 30 degrees.
