Got a sore red and swollen arm after the pneumovac 23 jab 2 days ago. Felt shivery yesterday and couldn't move my arm cos of the pain and it went hard all down to my elbow.
Should I still go for shingles vac?

I’d go and ask your nearest pharmacist for their advice.

I’d go and ask your nearest pharmacist for their advice.

I did and though she was alarmed and said I had a rare category side effect I was doing the best I could by using paracetamol and anti histamine.
She also advised me to see a dr. As my surgery is next door to the chemist I popped in but even showing the receptionist my large orange shaped swelling by my elbow she said there wasn't anyone there that could look at it and advise.

That’s frustrating!

On that basis, I’d be extra cautious and would probably postpone.

I've just seen lots of shingles vax messages and looks like I might even have a worse side effect from shingles so I'll defo postpone.
I've used a cold pack on my lumpy arm and can move it more as well as it being less red. So fingers crossed..

In case this is helpful to anyone else, this morning it's a lot less of a worry. It's less red, less swollen and less painful. But at t his rate I r convinced it's going to be a few more days to be ok again.
