Gallstones?

At the beginning of March I was up for hours vomiting. I didn't have any signs of a bug so thought it would as something I ate.

A couple of days ago I was up all night vomiting. It started exactly the same way as the first time: I had dinner and my stomach was swollen and I had terrible stomach pains for about three hours, then I was vomiting for hours.

Last night I had dinner and was up all night with severe stomach pains. Today I ate and had stomach pain, so fed up, I contacted NHS Direct.

To cut a long story short, I saw a Dr this evening and she thinks it could be gallstones. She's arranged a scan and antibiotics.

I don't think it is. I have no pain near the gallstone area or pain in my shoulder. My stomach isn't sensitive, she felt my abdomen region and took my temperature and blood pressure, all normal.

Does this sound like gallstones?

I didn't have classic pain with gallstones.
I had pain but like a right band across my chest .
Severe pain where ii couldn't move or speak for hours .

Sorry to hear that. Mine is stomach only and I couldn't move for the pain either.

Did you have yours removed?

What happened? Did it pass naturally or did you have it removed?

I had to get it removed, I think that’s the standard for most people when they start having gallstones. The operation isn’t bad.

Ok. I'm glad you're better.
