5 year old with bad tummy pains

My DS unwell for a few days. Started on Saturday - just out of sorts. Sunday - high temp all day. Sunday pm/Monday am vomiting.
Since then no temp - just has severe tummy pains all the time. Took him to the doctors to check him - told it's just a virus.
It is now getting distressing seeing him in pain most of the time. How can I make him more comfortable?

hi, my 6 year old son gets stomach pains when he is ill, the glands in the stomach can become enlarged with viruses. I have not found much myself that has helped apart from rest, but if you are concerned i would take him back to the doctors, i have known doctors to get things wrong before unfortunately, can you see a different one? I think they should give you some ideas to help with the pain, it is not nice to see your child distressed. Hope you get it sorted.

Dd sometimes gets tummy pains when she has a virus, because of the glands in the tummy being swollen. If you're not happy then take him back, see someone different. Hope he's better soon.
