Hello, can anyone help me?

ife just had a call from my doctor regarding my CP (had a c section 6 months ago, loose stools ever since. Had FIT test and infection test in December perhaps? Came back fine, and now been given CP test which has come back at 350)

should I be worried? I haven’t noticed any weight loss, no blood that I can see, but there is undigested food. Have now been referred to local hospital, seems like it’s urgent as they mentioned 2 weeks…

Trying not to worry…

I have IBD and mine were 600 the last time I was checked. I was in a flare at the time. I have Ulcerative Colitis.

Did you mean a calprotectin test? I just reread your post.

I have this too and have asked every professional under the sun and they always say "anxiety". I've worked lots with a therapist and it has got a lot better, but it has taken a lot of work and I still have a long way to go. From my experience though I would say that there isn't necessarily going to be any other diagnosis. I've been tested for IBD and all that and nothing is ever found.

Sorry @menopausalfart (love your username) IBD I mean*

@Bigblueskiesss Yes. I was diagnosed in the early 90s. You may have irritable bowel as your results aren't too high. Please try not to worry.

That’s interesting. So they sent you for all the tests, and nothing? I’m so glad your symptoms are improving though!

I really do think the c section + the antibiotics effed up my guts somehow, they were fine before 🫠

Antibiotics can fck up your gut for a while.

This happened to me 6 months after my c section, looking back I wonder if it was hormone related as I had just stopped breastfeeding. My calprotectin was over 600. Colonoscopy was clear, apart from a poylp which was removed and normal. After more tests, eventually they diagnosed bile acid malabsorption. Hope you get some answers and try not to worry.

Thank you! I hope you’re doing ok and I appreciate your input 🩵

I have asked to redo the test having cut out some foods I think are irritating my gut, and then go from there. The team are hesitant to do a colonoscopy due to BF/c section “recently” (out of interest, how many months PP were you after the colonoscopy?) and if the new test still shows inflammation then we’ll go from there. X
