GERD symptoms 4 months PP?

Hi there, 1st time mum here. So any help appreciated! Since 4 months PP (currently 6 months PP) I have been suffering with GERD symptoms, mainly heartburn and upper tummy tenderness/gassy bubbly feeling. Burping and farting also! I never had anything like this during pregnancy whatsoever or ever in my life tbh! But the morning sickness was bad! Anyway My period returned 3 months PP even though I was and still am exclusively breastfeeding. I have been put on lansaprazole and H2 blocker but nothing seems to be helping. I do suffer terribly with anxiety as well, particularly health anxiety. My mind goes wild when I have something wrong and my biggest fear is cancer. My mental health is not good atm and is having a huge affect with my day to day routine. I am thankful for such a supportive and reassuring partner but sometimes it just gets to much I can’t see past the anxiety. I look at my baby girl and just cry because I feel I am letting her down being this way. Has anyone suffered similar / offer any advice? Many thanks, Poppy

I have literally just posted my very own thread on this as I am also having weird symptoms to do with my stomach/throat and my anxiety is really bad! I feel like something is stuck in my throat, feel sick, lack of appetite, back pain.

Im not sure what advice I can offer as I am also seeking some, but please know you are not alone in having anxiety. I’m only 35 and have a 4 year old DD and 2 year old DS and I keep getting upset thinking it must be something terrible and that I’m letting them down somehow because I’m not mentally functioning as well as I can because of the constant fear and dread.

Has your GP given you any advice on when to return to see them if the medication isn’t working or what the next steps are?
