Hi is there anyone on here with Scoliosis?
my 19 year old son has recently being diagnosed with it and just want to hear some life stories to how it is through life and how it has affected you to hopefully learn and advise my son

I was diagnosed as a teen and had quite a lot of pain with it when I was growing. Now as an adult it barely affects my life. Occasionally if my back ‘goes’ then I’ll have to take painkillers and rest up but as long as I’m careful with lifting etc then it’s fine, I also always have to turn one way in a chair ie if looking at a presentation I might get pain if I was twisted the other way same as on the sofa I have to be a certain side to be comfortable twisting but honestly other than that you’d never know I had it if I didn’t tell you. Keeping fit and a strong core definitely helps!

Does anyone with it do welding as a career? How is that going?

Have a look on YouTube for exercise videos such as yoga for scoliosis with Adrienne, Austin goh etc
My shoulders have evened up from doing these occasionally but I still have uneven ribs / waist
