Constant breast cysts - anyone else?

Had my fourth trip to the breast clinic yesterday and had a large cyst aspirated once again. As usual they’ve told me they will probably have to see me again in future, and to keep an eye on any changes.

The clinic told me there’s not much I can do about it, but online I’ve read a few suggestions that diet changes, such as limiting saturated fats and avoiding caffeine can help prevent cysts becoming aggravated. Has anyone ever improved flare ups with diet changes? I already take evening primrose oil and don’t feel like that’s helped.

I’ve also read that this kind of thing tends to settle down after menopause and wondered about other people’s experiences. I’m 47 now, still have regular periods and don’t really think I’ve had a lot of menopause symptoms I hear others talking about yet.

Has anyone else had this constant cycle of lumps and discomfort throughout their 40s? I’m feeling a bit fed up with it at this point!

I’ve been twice now for cysts and can see now that ‘dense’ breasts are a risk factor for cancer. I’ve looked online but there doesn’t seem clear evidence. I’ve gone from two to one coffee but not sure I can give up completely!😂

Same, I do like a nice cuppa! My consultant’s exact words were that my cysts were nothing to do with cancer and nothing to do with the risk of cancer, but doesn’t stop the worry each time. Just wish I could do something to make it settle down.
