Thrush or poor attachment?

How can you tell if sore nipples and breast pain are due to thrush or just a poor latch?

usually with thrush you get like stabbing pain in the breast.

often your nipple will change colour - mine went a strange candy pink. The pain was different too - like a constant cutting. Does your LO have any white spots in their mouth? Thrush will often affect both of you - although not always. If you're checking do so away from a feed as the milk also makes spots. The dr can test for you but results can take 2 weeks. Or they can just give you some canestan to see if it works - that was my option.
