Hi all I've got to see an oral surgeon next week to have 2 teeth out on my upper left side.
I am feeling very nervous about having 2 teeth out at the same time. I don't know what to expect. Will I be okay? and will I feel any pain?

Two teeth is routine. Most general dentists will do that on a regular basis. You’re seeing an oral surgeon because there are perceived complications I assume?

@littlemissprosseco yes a dentist referred me because he tried 45 minutes to remove tooth and they say its because the roots are curved.
I'm so nervous. I'll ve glad once it's done.

Ok, so you’ll be numbed up as before. Lots of fiddling, possibly some drilling as if you were having a filling. You won’t feel any more than you did before. They may need to put a stitch into your gum, you won’t feel it. Afterwards you might need paracetamol more a day or two, you may be a bit swollen but hopefully not much. They’ll tell you how to look after things and it should heal up in a week or so as a normal extraction would

One dentist told me a tooth that needed taking out had hooked roots but when it came down to it there was no problem at all.

I had four out in one go late last year. I can't comment much on the actual procedure as I was numbed up and then sedated so I don't remember anything about it actually happening.

On the way home in the car I took paracetamol and ibuprofen when I started feeling the numbness going away. I took one more dose in the evening and when that wore off I didn't really feel anything so I stopped taking the meds. No further pain from there.

Around 8 days in the stitches got a little sore as they were loosening as they dissolved so bits of food were tugging on them but they fell out a day later and that was over.

I was really worried about how much it would hurt before hand and had all sorts of painkillers lined up ready for it, I was very surprised how little it actually did hurt. My main issue was sensory issues from the blood clots (I have ARFID and texture is a huge trigger for me) but I don't think that's an issue the average person would need to deal with.
