Have a mole thats gone strange.

Have a mole close to my right nipple thats grown slightly in the last week and raised and has bled a little.
Have made a gp appointment but just wanted to hear from anyone else who's had this?

I had moles that grew

they whipped them off

but they were fine

they were mostly irritated by bra (the ones on my body)

It was a simple procedure - the most disturbing thing was the theatre staff talking about how pissed they had been the night before

am a bit worried about the scar as the last thing my gp whipped out was a cist (sp) on my thigh which has now got a huge ugly scar on it.

Do you usually have the gp whip them off or hospital?

I went to hospital - GP offered, but I didn't trust him (he was prosecuted later for misconduct and never allowed to do local surgery again so I wasn't wrong).

They have scarred differently on different parts of my body - ones on face are very non-scarry)

Its very common for moles to be irritated by bra's so I'm sure its just this but best to get them checked out.

I had a mole from birth-ish on my elbow which went a bit lob-sided and slightly red so went to my docs who referred me to the skin hospital. They took one look at it and took it off that day. I was 14 and naive enough to think "ooh they must be quiet today" whereas as my much wiser mum figured they must have thought it to be serious and lo and behold it was skin cancer of the worst kind, malignant melanoma. I'm fine though, it was 15 years ago and i'm still here

just went to the doctors he gave me some cream and told me to come back in a month.
