Hives , shingles or something else

i was hoping someone may have a bit of advice. I developed a rash last week, the pharmacist thought it was shingles. The Dr said it wasn’t in a phone consult, due to it being present on both sides of my body. It’s not really improving, I’m taking antihistamines but looking for any other suggestions or recommendations. Thanks

Do the histamines work?

I've just had chicken pox (ffs!) and it took a few days to recognise as chicken pox as some spots were just itchy and blotchy like hives. Anti histamines just didn't work at all.

Pityriasis rosea?

I developed a rash like this on torso and legs a good few years back which turned out to be an allergy I’d developed to my perfumed fabric conditioner. I’ve used non- bio powder and Comfort pure or equivalent ever since and never came back.

It doesn't look like shingles.

If you're feeling well, I think some sort of allergy is most likely.
