me and ds have little white spots on our tongues. What in the name of feck are they and how did we get them?

could be oral thrush - you'd need to see your gp for treatment if it is.

Sounds like thrush. Try sucking a piece of garlic, it really works, honestly.

A drop of tea tree oil in a small glass of water and swirled round 3 times a day helped mine a lot. You also get pastilles which are fantastic.

mehdismummy · 13/05/2008 19:54

what about ds?

You could try a slice of garlic, it may not be nice for him though. I'd get something from the GP for him as the garlic may make his tongue sting.

why does it all happen at the same time? Ds not complaining about it but i have an appointment with council tomorrow to get help with leaving h. Can the pharmacist give anything?

No, you need to go to the GP really. Have you both been on antibiotics or sharing utensils/toothbrush? I know from your other threads that things have been really tough for you. It must be stressful for you both. You can leave it for a few days, it just makes your tongue tingle, go earlier if it starts to get painful.

mehdismummy · 13/05/2008 20:17

mine are painful now. That is why i did not think they were thrush. Ds does not seem to hurt. Read the info on oral thrush but they say they very rarely hurt and bleed if scraped. I am under stress but it seems to have come out when i have started to relax. Poor old ds he probably caught them off me. His seem to be going.

try the garlic. I had a few (dozen) courses of antibiotics from my dentist that left me with thrush, it was hard to get rid of. My neighbour suggested garlic, it really did work. It does hurt some people, I couldn't scrape mine off though.

thanks

Sugar feeds the thrush so be careful. I hope it gets better.
