Hayfever or conjunctivitis?

My dd (age 4) has very red sore looking eyes. She has had a little bit of gunk and I am wondering if she has conjunctivitis again or if it could just be hayfever.

Do you get weepy, sticky eyes with hayfever or just irritation?

If it's only minor, then I'd try brolene to try to clear the gunk.

with hayfever eyes are red, itchy, watery and swollen
I've not had weepy sticky eyes and had hayfever for 25 years.
If it is conjunctivitis you have to keep them off school as its highly contagious
