Worried about these lumps in my neck and behind my ear

I’ve got a lump behind my ear and about 3 lumps in my neck on the same side as the ear. I think they are enlarged lymph nodes. The other side is completely smooth. They have been there for a few months and I haven’t got a virus or anything. I have a hoarse voice and I always feel like I have to clear my throat.

My GP said the problem side feels quite nodular , and has referred me for an ultrasound which I am having this Friday. But I think she said it is being done on only my Thyroid and not my whole neck. I have had blood tests done and the results all came back normal.

Has anyone here ever had this problem in their neck and behind their ear where they have enlarged lymph nodes? I’m always worrying about it being something serious.

I had an enlarged lymph node on the side of my neck for years when I was younger. It wasn’t anything at all and at some point I just noticed, huh, it’s gone.

Try and resist touching them. They react to prodding and I’ve had them over the years from when I’ve noticed one and anxiously checked, they become granular.
