Has anyone successfully managed this at home?
I'm doing warm compress with usb mask and eyelid massage & cleaning twice a day, eye drops with lipids x 3 a day but my eyelids are still swollen. I take omega 3 daily. Actual eye fine and not dry.
I saw an ophthalmologist who said to try IPL but the total cost is £1000 which we just don't have. It's really getting me down and aging me around my eyes and making me grumpy and antisocial. I'm worried it will progress and get worse. I'm in Mid 40s.

Night ointment helped me, but I had very dry eyes not swollen lids. Sorry not to be more help, but if it’s blepharitis sometimes people get antibiotic drops

I've cited the dry eye but not the blocked glands. It's not fun!

I have this, as well as a corneal condition called Salzmann's, which I may have treated with laser surgery at some point in the future. I have to use lubricating drops five times a day, plus the eye mask and massage and eyelid cleaning to help the blepharitis. To be honest I'm rubbish at doing all this stuff as often as I should, so I'm my own worst enemy really, and my eyes can get quite uncomfortable by the end of the day. I need to make more effort to improve them.

I suffered with this for years in my 30s. I clean my lid margins every day, worked out what eye make up removers I could and couldn't use and realised that the blepharitis flared up if I wore nail polish. If you do wear nail polish it's worth removing it and seeing how you get on.
