Large black bruise getting worse

Would you think this was something that the GP needed to see?

My DH had a stent a couple of years ago and is now on various drugs related to that. He woke up last thursday with a large black bruise. Checked online and it's common with people on blood thinners. However today I've seen it and it looks much worse. It's on his inner thigh, so not somewhere likely to get knocked. Photos attached. The lighter image was on Thursday, darker one was today.

Ring the GP. I had some random bruising last year and I got seen very quickly.

Thanks very much for responding. I'll tell him. I'm more worried that it looks much worse a few days on - I expected it to improve, not get darker.

I would definitely see the GP with that.
