Primenopause & post coital bleeding

Hi all
Over the past 5 months I’ve bled after sex, not every time but a couple of times a month. I’ve been to the doctors and had an examination at the hospital and they’re saying my cervix is fine and perfectly healthy and my smears are up to date.
i’m 46 could this be linked to perimenopause at all? Has anyone else experienced this or do I need to be worried it could be something more serious?

thank you

When I had post coital bleeding it was caused by ectropion, but they will have looked at this for you.
Did you have an ultrasound scan? If your cervix looks ok but it’s still happening I’d be asking for a scan or hysteroscopy to be sure there’s nothing inside, and if that’s ok I’d look at getting a Mirena coil

Yes I’ve had an ultrasound which showed a normal uterus and ovaries with a regular 4mm endometrium. Normal vulva, vagina and cervix from an examination. They’ve said no further investigation required at present. But still concerning when it happened again. How would a mirena coil help do you know? I’ve had the copper coil before, it was horrendous and so got it removed years ago.
