Sore abdomen - trapped wind? infection?

Can I just run this by you MNers?

Last night around 8.30 to 9 Ichanged from my jeans to joggers as I was feeling uncomfortable.

Approx 4am I was awake with extreme discomfort in my abdomen, felt like it was in my colon area or bowel.

Went to bathroom and had some farts and emptied my bowels a little, it was relatively easy and soft.

Pain did not go away.

The only position that allowed me soem comfort and meant I could doze off was on my tummy, if I turned over the discomfort returned.

Looking back to yesterday, I was working for a mum with twins, I wolfed down some salad before taking the twins out for a long walk to keep them asleep and to allow mum to sleep.

Half way through the walk I had to return to go to the toilet. I had to clench hard to prevent an accident. I wonder if I could have taken in some air when trying to prevent myself from pooing my pants!? TMI

But then the pain is still here at this time of the day?

Anybody got any ideas? If it's an infection I can't go back to the twins tomorrow for fear of passing it on.

TIA

Hi, I'm still uncomfortable. If I sit down heavily a pain goes shooting up from my seat up through my navel..... Dp pressed on my tummy and the pain was worse when he lifted his hand so I'm worrying about my appendix. Am going to call GP in the morning
