Orange staining Finger

Woke up to a orange stain type mark on the tips of 2 of my fingers, any ideas? It's not painful, I've tried to wash it off but it isn't coming off.

Thanks

Do you smoke or vape?
Is it fake tan?

WorthyOtter · 01/03/2025 13:45

I vape, don't smoke. Vaped for ages never had that before. And not fake tan

Do you eat a lot of carrots or a lot of tomatoes, beets or red pepper?

BewaretheJabberwock · 01/03/2025 13:47

Pomegranate juice does this to my fingers. Have you been eating any?

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 01/03/2025 13:48

Have you been gardening? Dandelions can stain like that, as can a few other plants, so if you've been weeding, put gloves on.

Chuchoter · 01/03/2025 13:48

Touched a Lily?

WorthyOtter · 01/03/2025 14:04

Oh wow I think I've just realised! My partner bought me some flowers yesterday, there's an orange one there I suppose it could be that 🙄panic over I hope thanks all I really thought it was something bad 😂

Try soaking your fingers in denture tablets, it's not as harsh as bleach. They should remove the stain quite quickly.

Opened this thread thinking it was in reference to Trumps stabby sausage hands on that appalling meeting last night

WorthyOtter · 01/03/2025 16:49

Well at least it caught your eye haha

I have this all the time. It's so bizarre. Can't seem to find a cause.

Turns out it was the flowers I put in the vase, it's almost gone now. Could it be the same for you?

whosaidtha · 02/03/2025 07:24

@WorthyOtter are you sure? Definitely not this for me. And I would have thought flowers stuff would wash off? There's quite a few people who get this from time to time but doesn't seem to be a definitive cause.

WorthyOtter · 02/03/2025 08:22

Pretty sure. Only because the vase sits on the window above my sink and one time I had the baby bottles in the sink and they got stained orange, and it was because bits of the flowers falling in. It's gone from my fingers now. Suppose it could be a number of things but don't think it's anything to worry about

Mine tends to disappear by the end of the day. Then reappears a few days later. I'm headed to the dr later this week for something else but might mention it. See what they say.

Oh I wonder what it is. Let me know what they say if you remember
