Please can someone tell me what is wrong with my tongue (pic in comments)

No trauma to the area and not been raising the salt and vinegar crisp isle.

It's quite sore with foods, been like this for about a week now.

Any ideas?

Looks like it could be geographic tongue. I have something similar and eating anything with chilli or anything acidic like oranges is really painful. As far as I can tell (from Dr. Google!) there isn't anything you can do about it.

Looking online they are saying also maybe inhaler use, I've been decorating and had to up my preventer (steroid) one.

My pharmacist advised always having a drink after using steroid inhalers to prevent problems with thrush. Using a spacer helps too.
