Rash on toddler???

Attached 2 pics below. My toddler (DS2) came out in this rash earlier today, initially thought it was heat rash but hasn’t seemed to calm down at all, no other symptoms besides he’s cutting his last molars, hadn’t been on antibiotics in the last few weeks, well in himself and not scratching a whole lot.
his little sister (9 mo) had a virus last week which brought out a rash in her quite similar but not exactly the same. Any thoughts or advice? It blanches etc, mostly flat & only on tummy & around where nappy is.
thanks in advance !

It does look typical of a post viral rash, they are quite common in little ones
Could be they had the same virus and their sister, but with less symptoms so less obvious, or maybe they are about to start with symptoms.

@Foodylicious thanks very much. I was thinking that too, his sister had a sore throat etc was quite sick with it ie fevers etc but he’s been top form! Maybe you’re right x

Looks post viral to me too. I would guess that he had the virus but his immune system was more successful at fighting it off than his little sister was.

@Seawolves thank you! Maybe that’s the case, he’s usually the one who’s sick out of the two cause he’s older etc but like you said his immune system will be developed more than hers for sure!
