Hi I has anyone had this before.

  • I went for a smear last week, the nurse had to get a on call doctor to look at my cervix as it had a bruised appearance to lower edge of cervix. They did they smear but they have put a two week urgent referral. It says on my notes Fast track referral for suspected gynaecological cancer.

I haven’t stopped stressing about it since.

Thanks

They often fast track and add suspected cancer, just so you can be seen in under 9 -12 months, because the waiting times for gynae are horrendous in most areas. Try not to panic too much at this stage, easier said than done I know. Did they not say anything else at your appointment?
I hope all turns out to be okay for you Flowers

@TacticalEvasion They were just asking me questions for symptoms of cancer loosing weight fast etc.
They did look concerned though when the both looked at my cervix.
My appointment is Monday, hopefully I’ll also get smear results by then. It would have been two weeks 🤞

@Missy252525 just read your post. I’m wondering how you got on? Well I hope 🫶

This happened to me last year. Colposcopy said my cervix looked ‘beautifully healthy’.

Hope all is ok OP. I’ve just had a worrying few months with similar but hopefully sorted now and hope you are too. 💐
