Pseudomonas infection UTI

My elderly relative has been unwell with symptoms of a UTI for months and has finally been diagnosed with this. The GP is not treating it yet, but has asked for bloods and another urine sample next week.

The GP has said that my relative can go about their usual activities, which include church and charity work, but Dr Google says this infection can be passed from person to person, and hygiene in their home isn't great, so I'm unsure about this advice and whether I should visit.

Can anyone advise please?

You can have this infection in various places. I would assume as it’s urinary tract she can’t pass that on really, but if it was lungs then she could if that makes sense? But I’m not a doctor so I don’t know.
