Tooth removed - now paranoid about dry socket

Hi, I had my lower wisdom tooth out at 10am. Other than the anaesthetic, which made me feel absolutely awful, it was all absolutely fine.

I’m now just completely paranoid about it getting infected or getting a dry socket.

I’ll be taking the advice I was given - not brushing or rinsing today, then using salt water washes. After 3pm I had some tomato soup, a banana and some mushed up cereal that I ate on the opposite side of my mouth, but worried I’ve dislodged the blood clot (no evidence of this) regretting eating now 😬

Did anyone else get or avoid a dry socket, and any advice for me?

I had same treatment as you and was worried. I was totally fine. Just keep to very soft food.. No sucking through a straw.. No hot drinks .
I was fine

I had a tooth removed and just followed to the letter the advice I was given re. brushing and eating. I had no problems and no dry socket and no infection.

thanks both, I guess I’m just worried that now I’ve eaten bits of food will get trapped and infected…
