Ulcer or abcess ? Agony!

Is this an abscess or an ulcer ? It's quote swollen, whole mouth hurts and mouth tastes funny

I’m not a dental expert but looks like an ulcer to me. I’d either see a dentist or try some over the counter stuff. Maybe gargle with salt water too?

My abscess looked like a red hot malteaser sized lump.

Also an ulcer. Get some oragel from the pharmacy

Haven't looked at the pic sorry, but ulcers don't usually make your mouth taste funny, but I can definitely say that abcesses do! Hope you can get it sorted x

I had a horrible metal / musky taste in my mouth with ulcers

@nepobaby Oh, do they? Eww, I've never ever had that with a mouth ulcer and I've had a few! That's awful then! I've had a few abcesses over the years too and they leave an absolutely revolting taste in your mouth! 🤢
