Lump in armpit

has anyone had a lump on their armpit and it not be anything serious? Noticed around a month ago a pea size hard lump that doesn’t move, doctors told me to wait 3 weeks if it’s still there to see them again, I went last week and they have put in an urgent referral to the breast clinic. I’m terrified. I’m my head the lump is getting bigger but I honestly don’t know if it’s me imagining it. What happens at the breast clinic? Tia x

Didn’t want to read and run despite not being able to help. You are on the right track for help if needed but please remember that in most cases lumps turn out to be benign. I understand a little of your worry having found a lump years ago. Luckily mine was movable and turned out to be a cyst, but the week spent waiting for a GP appointment was hell. Sending all the luck in the world and a big unmumsnetty hug!

Yes I had this. Scanned at breast clinic. Turned out to be just a benign lump. Hope yours is the same.
