Pain in left side

Morning.
I have had a sharp pain in my side since weds. Initially thought trapped wind but it's still going strong (and no issues with passing wind or anything else). Hurts when I move and when I press. It's on my left side and round into my abdomen. Will ring docs in the morning. Not otherwise unwell in any way so just wondering if anyone else has had anything like it.

I've recently had similar pain and tested positive for a UTI. I had no other UTI symptoms.
Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks for your reply.
I've got no fever or anything so hadn't really considered infection.

How high up? Could it be your gallbladder?

Or could it be anxiety? I’ve had periods of anxiety where it’s shown up as physical pain in my stomach/chest.

I have had the same for the last few days on and off. I've had the pain before, i'm sure i when i went to the doctors previously they advised fybrogel. I think it's constipation/trapped wind.

Thanks for replying.
Left side central, just above hip bone and then round into the front a bit. Don't think anxiety as I've no reason to be anxious (but who knows). From what I've read, gallbladder is felt on the right more. And don't think constipation as I'm going regularly. Maybe more often than normal in fact but not diarrhoea (tmi, sorry) .

Mention change in bowel habits as well as pain. Get them to do a poo test as it may be inflammation.

Thank you.
Blood test done, possible diverticulitis so antibiotics given. They've also referred for an urgent ultrasound. Annoyed at myself for not asking what they are looking for with that.

Could the ultrasound be to look for ovarian cyst or similar?
